Audrey is a wanderer with a hometown she won't name. She seeks a new life in a new city, and it's overwhelming. Her only prized possession being an amulet she wears across her neck at all times, Audrey runs into brats and rejects alike, befriending a few along the way. Amongst those are Katsumi the ex-convict and Advik the cloned disappointment. She finds friendship in people who, like her, are resetting themselves. This Arc is filled with mystery backstories, neon diners, an undead family member, and rooftop sunsets. While the gang adjust to their new lives, things become hectic again as another mystery wanderer named Morgan arrives to Evelow. Only she carries heavier baggage and has a past that continues to chase her. Fearing the same will happen to her, Audrey distracts herself by entering herself in the elite of Evelow - the prime class. Meanwhile, Advik gets a second chance at his former life, as his former colleague invites him to help run the "Ellocast Project". This Arc has sexy bounty hunters, a sexy bounty, getting punched at a bar, the beach episode™, and a secret laboratory. . Audrey's newfound popularity takes a dark side as she involves herself deep in Evelow's secrets while Evelow is searching for hers. Turns out her new "Prime Class" friends are nosier than her. Avery is determined to find out Morgan's past, and finds some more things about herself when she goes on a dangerous journey with Zack and a chaotic mercenary they meet along the way. Relationships amongst Audrey and her friends are heavily tested. This Arc has pirates, sex and betrayal, crime solving, and something that's NOT a blood oath. After Audrey's mission to reanimate mutants resurfaced, she's charged with conspiracy and gets her amulet stolen. Audrey escapes Evelow to return to her old town of Dile to find the source of her amulet's power, where she discovers it's been overcome by the wasteland. As she and a superhuman she meets ventures back to Evelow, there is a fight for superiority amongst the council and their families. Rules are set aside as the future leaders try to outrank each other. Arc four has sea monsters, battle arenas, a ghost town, a grand ball, and a very tense dinner party. Feuds become serious after Advik gets a seat in the council, Avery forms a following, Zack goes off-grid, and Morgan and Kat attempt to stop the city from collapsing into the wrong arms. All are too busy with their individual threats to notice Audrey's state, who begins to develop some side effects after being in Dile for too long. Some people, however, are in favor of watching Evelow collapse, including superhuman Sean who's confident he'll overcome the monsters the rest of humanity cannot. Arc five has fallen dynasties, chaotic lovers, a cult, arson, and the ultimate revenge plan.
Evelow meets it's final challenge to remain a safe civilization as toxicity takes over one of their districts, only to spread. All of the characters are at their lowest points, and must find a way to defeat the odds and reunite. They must work together, even with past enemies to take down Aurora, one of the most powerful figures of the almost-lost city. She will stop at nothing to prevent Audrey and co. from becoming the heroes of this story. This Arc has the badlands come to the homeland, astral projection, oracles, stolen memories, a prison bust, and, spoiler alert, winning with the power of friendship (and sentient mold.) |
